Christmas campaign 2017

A Christmas ball for the happiness of a child

From November 13 to December 09, 2017

8TH YEAR OF THE CAMPAIGN

The Christian Vachon Foundation and its partners invite you, for an 8th year, to participate in the annual campaign A Christmas ball for the happiness of a child which will take place from November 13 to December 09, 2017. To do this, we are asking for your generosity by sponsoring a child by purchasing a Christmas present. Together, let's make a difference in the Christmas of a child in need.

Throughout the year, the Christian Vachon Foundation helps families who need it, among other things, because of their precarious financial situation. As the holiday season approaches, the Foundation is taking a special action and is looking for godfathers and godmothers who will anonymously offer a Christmas gift to the children of families supported by the Foundation. A different way to help these families and their children.

HOW TO SPONSOR A CHILD FOR CHRISTMAS?

Interested persons should come to one of the following seven locations:

    • Giant Tiger , 1730 Sherbrooke Street, Magog
    • Caisse Desjardins du Lac Memphrémagog , 230 Principale Street West, Magog
    • IGA Extra Gazaille , 1526 Sherbrooke Street, Magog
    • Magog City Hall , 7 Main Street East, Magog
    • Boutique Vivre à fond , 2389-B, rue Principale Ouest, Magog
    • Boutique Le Coureur , 1682 King Street West, Sherbrooke
    • GGC Sherbrooke Library, 1567 King Street West, Sherbrooke

On the site, the person chooses a homemade Christmas ball from the tree installed for the campaign and then goes to the reception desk of the establishment to receive a child's file. Note that no identifying information will be given; only a first name, an age and some gift suggestions.

The godfather or godmother must then bring back the gift of a minimum value of $25 , nicely packaged, at the Memphrémagog library located at 90, rue Saint-David in Magog, and this, before December 09 at noon or in Sherbrooke at the Boutique le Coureur and the Biblairie GGC (Sherbrooke only) if you have sponsored a child there.

Parents will then be invited to pick up the gifts at the Memphremagog Library and for more distant school delivery will be made directly to the schools.

At a time as important as Christmas, the quality of the gestures to be made towards a child takes on all its importance, its meaning. A Christmas ball for the happiness of a child is a unique way to get involved, to change things, to become Santa Claus, present but invisible, to go a little further in the quality of one of your gestures.
