THE CHRISTIAN VACHON FOUNDATION ABOUT TO FINALIZE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE GOVERNMENT
Quebec, February 19, 2020 – The Christian Vachon Foundation is proud to take part in the School Perseverance Days taking place across Quebec, from February 17 to 21, 2020. On this occasion, our president and founder, Mr. Christian Vachon, is passing through the National Capital to meet various members of the government. This visit is the culmination of the many steps taken with elected officials to begin the deployment of the Christian Vachon Foundation in the Montérégie region.
“For 14 years, more than 80 schools in the Eastern Townships have received assistance from the Christian-Vachon Foundation. More than $3 million was used to provide school supplies, meals and clothing to children in need. The foundation also gives them access to cultural and sports activities, which are all sources of motivation,” exclaimed the MNA for Orford, Mr. Gilles Bélanger, during a statement to the National Assembly yesterday afternoon. He also invited his colleagues at the National Assembly to support the Christian Vachon Foundation in its efforts to establish itself in other regions of Quebec.
The Christian Vachon Foundation, whose mission is to help children and families in need in Quebec, is about to launch its program in the Montérégie region. "Our goal is to offer support to a greater number of students, beyond the Eastern Townships region, so that more students in need can benefit from an essential help to thus have an equal opportunity to develop and perform in their school environment," said Christian Vachon. “We will soon contact school stakeholders to begin our work in this region. »
About the Christian Vachon Foundation
The Christian Vachon Foundation is a private foundation created in 2006 by Christian Vachon to support children in the greater Eastern Townships region. It provides assistance to children from vulnerable backgrounds by offering them clothing, school supplies, meals as well as cultural and sports activities.
